About Dr. Angela Francis

In 2014, Angela received her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island. Since going through her own fitness journey, Angela found a passion in working with others one on one to achieve their goals and wellness lifestyle. After graduating, she worked as a personal trainer for 2+ years to gain experience and knowledge in the fitness profession. While working as a personal trainer, Angela explored additional careers and worked in Physical Therapy and Chiropractic offices to gain knowledge of the medical field. She found her passion in helping people with musculoskeletal conditions without the use of surgery and prescribed pain medication. This led her to begin her studies at the University of Bridgeport in 2017. In 2021, Angela graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.

Prior to opening her practice, Angela worked in a high-volume chiropractic office where she successfully treated pregnant women, athletes, and active adults, which encompassed both Physical Therapy and Chiropractic treatment. Angela found value in the multidisciplinary practice but believes the patients needed more time and a full-body approach. This experience led her to pursue advanced movement and pre-and post-natal certifications to fulfill her dreams of opening her own office.

With Dr. Angela’s education and experience, she feels that she can get to the root cause of a patient’s pain or dysfunction by assessing the patient’s body and lifestyle as a whole, versus traditional chiropractic and physical therapy treatments. Angela’s nontraditional approach and understanding that no patient should be treated with the same plan of care, leads her to give personalized plans and programming that fits the patient’s needs and goals.

In August of 2021, Angela joined the Fit 2 Serve team as a trainer and chiropractor. Fit 2 Serve is a testing, training, and certification company for first responders and military personnel. Angela provides programming, training, and recovery treatment for the company. Through the rigors of the police academy, Angela’s treatment has greatly helped many candidates to continue training for the duration of the academy. Post academy, she continues to see many first responders during their professional careers with an emphasis on education and knowledge to prevent injury.
